How does ambient technology work?
You will use a swipe card to create a customized experience during your CT scan.
During the test, you will be immersed in soothing images–such as an underwater seascape or a mountain vista–that are projected onto the room's ceiling and walls. The projected images are accompanied by coordinated soft, colored lighting and sounds that complement the visual images.

The ambient experience has been shown to have soothing effects on the patient during the CT scan test, creating less stress and anxiety. In fact, studies have revealed that the relaxing effects of ambient technology reduce the need to sedate children undergoing a CT scan and also decrease the need for repeat testing.
