Cutting-edge technology

At the St. Francis Imaging Center, you receive the benefits of the very latest in imaging technology and equipment:

• CT scan (Computed Tomography Scan): A CT scan uses a type of X-ray to take images of the body, then special computer equipment shows detailed cross-sections of the organs and tissues. The Imaging Center’s 16-slice CT scanner represents the newest technology.
• MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): This diagnostic test uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field to show extremely detailed pictures of the inside of the body. This high-quality scanner is the most current line of MRIs available.
• Ultrasound: Using high-frequency sound waves, ultrasound equipment shows images inside the body in real time. Our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment provides technicians and physicians with the highest-quality images.
• X-ray: X-rays show still images of the inside of the body. Our X-ray equipment is from the most current you’ll find anywhere.
• Lab services: From routine blood tests to more involved screening, our lab services offer you covenience and easy access.

We’re not only close to your home, we feel like home. Get comfortable in our waiting room and relax while your children play in the activity center.

Even our diagnostic testing rooms are designed with your comfort in mind. The Imaging Center is the first in the state to offer ambient technology. When you enter our CT scan suite, you can select soothing images that are projected on the walls and ceiling – complete with corresponding sounds. These comforting settings, such as an underwater seascape or mountain vista, put patients at ease. Children especially benefit from this technology.

The St. Francis Imaging Center is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. Walk-in X-ray and laboratory services are available with a physician’s written order. All other procedures should be scheduled by you or your physician.
